Before Your Botox Treatment: How to Prepare

Proper preparation helps your Botox session go smoothly and reduces unwanted side effects. Here’s how to get ready for your appointment:

  • Pause Blood Thinners: For about a week prior, avoid medications and supplements that thin your blood (if medically allowed). This includes aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, St. John’s Wort, and similar products . These can increase bruising. Always consult Dr. Punit before stopping any prescribed medication.

  • Skip Alcohol & Caffeine: Do not drink alcohol or excess caffeine for at least 24 hours before your appointment . Alcohol and caffeine can raise your blood pressure and make you more prone to bruising and swelling . Stay well-hydrated with water instead.

  • Hold Off on Skincare Actives: Stop using strong topical skincare like Retin-A (tretinoin), retinol creams, glycolic or salicylic acids for 2–3 days before treatment . These products can irritate the skin and we want your skin calm and not overly sensitive on injection day. Also avoid waxing, threading, bleaching, or laser hair removal on the treatment area for at least 2–3 days prior , as these can inflame the skin.

  • Come with a Clean Face: On the day of your Botox, cleanse your face and do not apply makeup, lotion, or perfume on the treatment areas . This reduces infection risk and allows Dr. Punit to assess your natural expressions. If your underarms will be treated for sweating, ensure they are clean and do not wear any deodorant or antiperspirant that day . For underarm Botox, it’s ideal not to shave the area on the same day – shave 1–2 days before instead, so skin isn’t irritated . (If you forgot, don’t worry – we can gently cleanse the area before injecting.)

  • Health Checks: If you have a rash, breakout, or open wound in the planned treatment area, or if you’re feeling unwell, call to reschedule . It’s safer to treat when any skin issues have healed. Also, inform Dr. Punit if you have a history of cold sores (especially if you’re getting injections near the mouth) – you may be given preventive antiviral medication to avoid a flare-up.

  • Plan Scheduling: Botox results aren’t immediate, so time your appointment wisely. You’ll start to see effect in a few days, with full results by about 10–14 days . If you have a big event (wedding, trip, photoshoot), schedule your Botox at least 2 weeks beforehand to allow results to settle (and any mild bruising to fade) . Dr. Punit often recommends an initial treatment about a month prior to major events, with time for a follow-up touch-up at the 2-week mark if needed.

  • During Your Consultation: Expect a thorough consultation with Dr. Punit before the injections. He will discuss your goals, examine your facial muscle movement, and map out injection points on your face or body. Feel free to ask questions – we’ll explain what Botox can realistically do for each of your concerns. We will also review your medical history (e.g. any neuromuscular conditions, previous Botox or allergies) to confirm that Botox is safe for you . Once all your questions are answered and the plan is agreed, we proceed with the treatment in our women-only clinic setting. Rest assured, we use numbing cream or ice if needed, but most women find Botox injections very tolerable (a tiny pinch). The actual injection process is quick – usually 10–20 minutes – and done with precision by Dr. Punit.

After Your Botox Treatment: Post-Care Instructions

Botox aftercare is crucial for achieving the best results and avoiding complications. Dr. Punit will review these instructions with you right after your injections. Key things to do (and avoid) in the hours and days following Botox include:

  • Stay Upright for 4 Hours: Do not lie down flat or bend over for at least 4 hours after your injections . Remaining upright helps prevent the Botox from migrating from the targeted muscle. Plan to relax or sit upright – for example, if you get treated in the afternoon, don’t schedule a yoga class or take a nap immediately after.

  • Hands Off the Area: Avoid touching, pressing, or rubbing the injection sites for at least 24 hours . Botox is a liquid that can diffuse a bit if manipulated . So, no firm massaging of your face, no facials, and be gentle when cleansing your skin. If you got Botox on your forehead, try not to wear tight caps or headbands that squeeze the area for the first day . For injections around the eyes, be careful removing makeup – dab or softly cleanse without heavy pressure. And if you had lip Botox, avoid pursing your lips (no kissing or drinking through straws for a day) – more on lip care below.

  • Skip Strenuous Activity for 24 Hours: It’s best to avoid vigorous exercise, heavy lifting, or any activity that makes you sweat and increases your heart rate on the same day as treatment . Elevated circulation might theoretically cause the Botox to spread or bruise more . A light walk is fine, but no high-intensity workouts until the next day. This also means no sauna, steam room, or hot yoga for 24 hours , as intense heat can increase swelling/bruising. Keep your environment and body relatively cool and calm immediately after your injections.

  • No Alcohol, Smoking, or Blood Thinners: For about 24 hours post-treatment, avoid alcoholic beverages . Alcohol can dilate blood vessels and raise the risk of bruising at injection points. It’s also wise to avoid restarting aspirin, NSAIDs, or supplements that thin blood for a day or two after (unless prescribed for a health condition – in which case, resume as advised by your doctor). If you smoke, try to minimize smoking for a day, as nicotine can affect healing (and pursing the lips repeatedly after lip injections isn’t ideal).

  • Gentle Skincare Only: Continue to refrain from using strong active skincare on treated areas for 1–2 days after Botox. This means no harsh exfoliants, no prescription retinoids for the next day or so, and no abrasive scrubbing of your face. You can clean your face the same day – gently wash with a mild cleanser and pat dry. It’s fine to shower in the evening, just avoid very hot water on treated areas the first day.

  • Delay Other Treatments: Do not get facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, or face massages on the treated area for at least 1–2 weeks after Botox . These could potentially interfere with how the Botox has settled, or increase risk of moving it. Plan any other cosmetic procedures with a gap of about 2 weeks from your Botox session unless Dr. Punit advises otherwise.

  • Makeup Caution: We recommend avoiding applying makeup to the injection areas for at least 12–24 hours to reduce infection risk. If you must use makeup sooner, do it very lightly and avoid vigorous blending or rubbing the skin . Using clean brushes or applicators is important. Ideally, give your skin a day to breathe.

  • Expect Mild Swelling or Bruising: It’s normal to have a bit of redness, tenderness, or tiny lumps at injection spots right after treatment – these typically subside within an hour or two. Bruises, if they occur, tend to be small and resolve in about a week . To help, you can apply a cold compress (wrapped in a clean cloth) gently on the area for 10 minutes at a time later that day . Do not press the ice pack hard against the skin; just cooling helps. Sleeping with your head slightly elevated tonight can also minimize swelling.

  • Pain Management: Botox injections themselves are quick and use tiny needles, so significant pain is uncommon. You might feel a slight headache or heaviness in the treated area afterward – some patients do report a mild headache on the day of treatment . If needed, you may take acetaminophen (Tylenol) as directed. Avoid ibuprofen or aspirin right after Botox as they can contribute to bruising unless you truly need them for an unrelated issue. Any injection-site soreness should be minimal and improve within a day.

  • Return to Daily Routine: Aside from the above precautions, you can resume most normal activities. There is essentially no true downtime with Botox – for example, you can go back to work the same day and you won’t feel “sick” or sedated . Just use common sense: be gentle and cautious with the treated areas as noted. Many women actually schedule Botox over a lunch break because it’s so quick; just remember not to do anything too vigorous right afterward.

  • When Results Show: Don’t worry if you don’t see a difference immediately – this is expected. Botox needs a little time to work. You may notice the first subtle softening of lines in 3–5 days, but the full effect will develop by 10–14 days post-treatment . In other words, at your two-week mark your forehead or other treated areas should look noticeably smoother yet still natural. (For some therapeutic uses like muscle relaxing, you’ll similarly notice improvement over the first 1–2 weeks.) We will book a follow-up review around 2 weeks after your first session . At this visit, Dr. Punit checks your results, ensures everything looks symmetric and as expected, and tops up any area that might need a tiny bit more for perfection. This personalized follow-up is part of our care.

  • How Long It Lasts & Maintenance: In most women, Botox effects last about 3–4 months for facial treatments . This varies by individual and treated area – some get a bit more longevity (4+ months) especially after regular treatments, since muscles can become trained to be less tense over time . For excessive sweating, results often last longer – typically 6 months or more of drier underarms after a full treatment . Dr. Punit will guide you on when to schedule your next session. Many women choose to come approximately 3 times a year for wrinkles, or 2 times a year for hyperhidrosis, to maintain continuous results. We keep your chart on file with the exact sites and doses used, so each visit builds on the last for consistency. And remember – with repeat Botox, wrinkles often return less severely, because the skin had a chance to rest and repair while the muscle was relaxed. Our goal is softening and prevention, not an abrupt change. We’ll help time your maintenance appointments so you never have a drastic “wearing off” moment .

Special Considerations for Different Botox Treatment Areas

Botox is a versatile treatment used in various areas for both cosmetic and therapeutic benefits. While the general pre- and post-care rules apply to all, certain treatment areas have a few special notes. Below we outline any additional tips or expectations for each common Botox application in women:

  • Forehead Lines & Frown Lines (Glabellar “11s”): After treating horizontal forehead lines or the vertical frown lines between the eyebrows, it’s extra important not to wear anything that compresses your forehead for the rest of the day (like tight hats or forehead bands) . Such pressure could push the Botox into unwanted areas and cause a temporary eyelid droop. Also, avoid bending forward too much in the first few hours – for example, try to tie your shoes by squatting rather than bending at the waist – this is just a precaution to keep the toxin in place. If you feel a slight heaviness in your forehead in the first week, don’t be alarmed; as the Botox kicks in and you subconsciously stop overusing those muscles, that sensation usually passes. Tip: In the first hour after treatment, you can gently exercise your treated forehead muscles by raising and lowering your brows or frowning a few times. While not proven necessary, some experts suggest this might help Botox bind to the muscle. Whether or not you do that, refrain from any forced facial exercises beyond normal expressions. And remember, your forehead lines will gradually relax over 1–2 weeks – be patient and enjoy the subtle day-by-day smoothing.

  • Crow’s Feet (Eye Corners) & Brow Lift: For crow’s feet (the fine lines around the outer eyes) or a Botox “brow lift” (which involves injections to elevate the tail of the brows), the main thing is to avoid rubbing your eyes or brow area after treatment. Don’t use any eye creams or heavy eye makeup on the same day that requires rubbing to remove. If your eyes feel a bit puffy, a cool gel eye mask can soothe them (just don’t apply pressure). You might get a tiny bruise near the eye – cover with concealer the next day if needed, it will fade. When Botox is used to lift the brows, you’ll see a gentle arch effect by the 2-week point, opening up your eye area. To maintain this, follow all the standard aftercare so the Botox stays where it should. In rare cases, a misplaced rub could cause a slight lid droop (ptosis). If you notice one eyelid seems heavier than usual, let us know; we can prescribe eye drops that help until it resolves (which it will as the Botox wears off). Fortunately, with Dr. Punit’s precise technique, significant droop is highly unlikely. Stick to the no-rub rule and you should only see positive effects – smoother crow’s feet and a refreshed, lifted look around your eyes.

  • Bunny Lines (Nose Wrinkles): Botox for “bunny lines” (those diagonal wrinkles on the sides of your nose when you scrunch it) is a quick addition and has minimal aftercare beyond the basics. Just avoid scrunching your nose hard on purpose for the rest of the day. If you need to sneeze or blow your nose, that’s fine – do so gently. If you wear glasses or sunglasses, it’s okay to put them on, as the injection is usually a bit lower on the nose. Just avoid super tight eyewear that presses on the injection spot for the first day. Bunny line Botox results in a subtle change – you’ll notice when you laugh or smile, your nose won’t wrinkle up as much. There’s no special risk here; bruising is rare given the tiny needle and that this area doesn’t have major vessels. Continue your normal skincare, but don’t use pore strips or harsh scrubs on the nose for 2 days. All general precautions (no rubbing, no heavy exercise immediately) apply equally here.

  • Lip Flip & Gummy Smile (Lip Area Botox): These treatments involve the mouth area, so we have some specific aftercare for lips. If you had a lip flip (Botox in the upper lip border to make the lip subtly roll outward) or a gummy smile treatment (Botox to reduce excessive gum show when smiling), please avoid putting any pressure or products on your lips for at least 24 hours. That means: no kissing (even pecks), no drinking through straws, no blowing up balloons or whistling, and no lipsticks or lip balms for the rest of the day (longer if you can manage, up to 2–3 days for lip cosmetics is ideal). You want to keep the area clean and allow the Botox to absorb into the muscle without being spread around by movement or pressure. You can gently brush your teeth, but be careful not to pull or stretch your lips too much while brushing . It might be easier to use a straw to drink water initially except that with a lip flip you may actually find it a bit hard to use a straw for a few days – that’s normal! Your lip may feel slightly weak when you try to pucker – you might dribble water if you sip from a narrow straw on day 2, for example. Don’t worry: this is a sign the Botox is working to relax those lip muscles, and it wears off as you get used to it (or as the Botox effect normalizes). If you had a gummy smile injection (usually at the nostril corners), similarly avoid excessive grinning or upper lip movements for the first day. You might notice when you smile, your upper lip doesn’t retract as far – that’s the desired effect. Any difficulty speaking clearly or drinking (very rare) should be reported, but a mild “funny” feeling around the mouth is common initially . We will check your lip function at the 2-week follow-up. In summary: keep the lip area makeup-free and untouched for 24 hours, stay upright for 4 hours, and stick to soft foods and drinks you can take without pursing too hard on day 1. By day 3 or so, you’ll be used to the sensation, and your new, relaxed smile will look great.

  • Chin Dimpling: Botox in the chin (mentalis muscle) smooths that “orange peel” or dimpled texture some of us get when we tense our chin. After chin Botox, avoid any lengthy or vigorous chewing for the rest of the day (so maybe skip the steak dinner that night and opt for something that doesn’t require jaw strain). This isn’t because chewing will undo anything, but because the chin muscle might feel a tad sore or odd as the Botox settles – heavy chewing could be uncomfortable. Don’t press on your chin or rest your hand on it for 24 hours (a common habit when sitting at a desk – try to avoid that) since pressure could disperse the toxin. You can cleanse and moisturize your chin gently, but avoid harsh exfoliation for 2 days. Occasionally, people feel like their lower lip or chin is slightly “heavier” or have to think a second before fully puckering after chin Botox – this is normal and fades as you adapt. If you notice any asymmetry in your smile or any difficulty speaking (highly unlikely with the tiny doses we use in the chin), inform us. Chin Botox usually takes effect in about a week; you’ll see a smoother, less dimple-prone chin when you make expressions. Continue general aftercare, and enjoy not having to retouch your lipstick in those little chin creases anymore!

  • Jawline Slimming (Masseter Botox): For women receiving Botox in the masseter (jaw) muscles – whether to slim the jawline or to relieve teeth grinding (bruxism) and jaw tension – there are a couple of special points. First, don’t be discouraged if you don’t see a visible change as quickly as you would in, say, your forehead lines. Masseter Botox works on a larger, stronger muscle, so the timeline is slower. You will likely feel some relief in jaw clenching or tightness within 1–2 weeks (it might become easier to relax your jaw and you may notice less grinding at night). However, the facial slimming effect (a softer angle of the jaw) usually becomes noticeable around 4–6 weeks after treatment . This is because the Botox is not only relaxing the muscle but allowing it to gradually shrink (atrophy) from disuse, which takes time. So, be patient – by around the one to two month mark, you’ll see a more tapered lower face, especially if you had a very square jawline to start. Second, after masseter injections, your cheeks or jaw might feel mildly sore for a day (similar to if you chewed a lot of gum). It can help to stick to softer foods for the first day or two – not that you must, but you might prefer it. Definitely avoid chewing gum or taffy on day 1, to give your jaw a little rest. You can gently open and close your mouth and move your jaw to stretch it, that’s fine – just no extreme jaw exercises. Another tip: Don’t schedule a dental appointment or facial massage that involves heavy pressure on your cheeks or jaw for at least a week, to avoid dispersing the product. As always, no strenuous exercise for 24h (which includes heavy jaw exercise!). If you notice any unevenness when biting down after a couple of weeks (e.g. one side still feels stronger), let Dr. Punit know at your follow-up – sometimes a small additional dose is given to balance it. Most women love the results of masseter Botox, finding not only is their face shape more feminine and slender, but tension headaches and jaw pain are reduced. To maintain jaw slimming, you may need repeat sessions about every 4–6 months (this can be slightly longer than for frown lines, since the masseter may stay weakened a bit longer). We will customize the dose and interval to your needs.

  • Neck Bands (Platysmal Bands): Botox in the platysma (the thin neck muscle) can soften visible vertical neck “bands” and help create a smoother, more youthful neck contour. After getting neck Botox, keep your neck upright for the first 4 hours (same reason as elsewhere – to prevent migration). So, avoid any positions where you’re inverted or where your head is way below your body soon after treatment. Do not massage your neck or wear anything with a tight collar or choker that could press on the treated areas for a couple of days. We also advise against strenuous neck exercises (like certain yoga poses or Pilates moves that strain the neck) for 24 hours. With neck injections, it’s especially important to follow dose and placement instructions – Dr. Punit uses precise techniques to avoid affecting deeper throat muscles. If you feel any difficulty in swallowing or speaking clearly (this is rare when done by an experienced injector, but we mention it as a precaution) or if you notice any asymmetrical smile (could happen if the Botox diffused to a muscle that pulls the mouth), contact us immediately. These effects are usually temporary and often mild, but we want to know about them. Most likely, you’ll simply notice by 2 weeks that those neck bands are less prominent when you talk or strain, and the neck skin looks smoother. Continue basic aftercare: no rubbing, no hot spa treatments on the neck for a week, and use a gentle cleanser – remember the neck skin can be sensitive. Also, avoid heavy lifting that involves straining your neck or grimacing for that first day. Neck Botox results typically last around 3–4 months. Many women combine neck Botox with other skin treatments (like RF or laser) for a full neck rejuvenation – just remember to space those procedures at least 2 weeks apart unless advised otherwise.

  • Underarm Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating): Botox is highly effective for reducing underarm sweat, and we want to maximize your comfort and results. Keep your underarms clean and dry after the procedure . For the first 24 hours, do not apply any deodorant or antiperspirant . These products can irritate the injection sites and aren’t needed right away (you’ll likely be drier than usual anyway). Also avoid any perfumed lotions or creams on the underarm area for a day. It’s a good idea to wear a loose cotton top after treatment so your underarms aren’t rubbing on tight clothing – breathability helps. Do not shave or wax your underarms for at least 24 hours post-treatment (shaving the same day can sting and risk introducing bacteria into the micro punctures). If they start to itch a little (some people get mild itchiness), a cool compress can soothe it – but don’t put any strong anti-itch cream unless we advise, and do not scratch or scrub the area. Avoid heavy exercise or anything that makes you sweat a lot for 24–48 hours – we want the Botox to stay near the sweat glands and not be flushed away by excessive sweating early on. Also skip the sauna, steam room, or hot baths for 2 days . You can shower; just keep water warm, not piping hot, the first day. Chlorine pools are not recommended for 24 hours either (and public pools have germs – open injection sites and germs don’t mix). After treatment, your underarm sweat will gradually decrease over about 1–2 weeks . Many patients start noticing improvement in a few days, but give it a full 2 weeks to judge results. You might find you don’t need deodorant at all after Botox kicks in, or only a very mild one. Results tend to last around 6 months on average for underarms – some get even longer. When you eventually notice sweating returning, schedule your next session with Dr. Punit. One more thing: if you experience any unusual symptoms in your arms or hands after underarm injections (extremely rare), let us know. For instance, if you felt muscle weakness in your arm (again, very unlikely as Botox was placed shallowly in the skin for sweat glands, not in the muscle), we’d want to be aware. Typically, side effects are just mild injection-site reactions like small bruises or tenderness. Underarm Botox can be life-changing if you’ve dealt with sweat stains on clothes – we’ll help you get the most out of it by thorough aftercare and follow-up.

  • Palmar (Hand) Hyperhidrosis: Sweaty palms can also be treated with Botox. The aftercare is similar to underarms: keep your hands clean, dry, and product-free for the first day. Don’t apply any creams or lotions to your palms for 24 hours, and obviously no antiperspirant (some people use special hand antiperspirants – not right after Botox!). Avoid activities that irritate your hands on day one: for example, heavy weightlifting (pressure on the palms) or using harsh detergents without gloves. Your hands might feel a bit tender or weak for a day, so take it easy – perhaps don’t schedule rock climbing or a long session of handwriting immediately after. Some patients choose to wear clean cotton gloves for the first night to keep the area clean; this is optional. Also, as with underarms, avoid hot environments, saunas, or super hot water on your hands for 48 hours (wash hands with cool or lukewarm water). You may notice some small needle marks on your palms – keep them clean to avoid any tiny risk of infection (wash gently with soap and water). If you see any redness or swelling beyond minor pinpricks, apply an ice pack wrapped in a cloth for 10 minutes. Do not soak your hands in a hot tub or do dishwashing with very hot water on the same day. The reduction in sweating will occur over the next week or two; many people see a big difference by 1 week. Occasionally, high doses of Botox in the palms can cause transient hand muscle weakness (like a slight loss of grip strength or fine dexterity) – this is usually mild and temporary. If you feel this, avoid strenuous hand activities until it improves (usually within a week or two). We use techniques to minimize this effect, but it can happen due to the many small muscles in the hands. Rest assured it will wear off as the Botox does. Palmar sweating relief tends to last ~4-6 months. We will adjust your treatment plan based on how fast your sweating returns. And if needles in the palms were uncomfortable, know that we can use numbing methods next time (nerve blocks or stronger topical anesthetics) – your comfort is important to us. Overall, hand Botox patients are thrilled to shake hands without worry and keep papers dry – just follow the care tips for a smooth outcome.

Safety Tips, Side Effects & When to Contact the Clinic

Your safety is our top priority. Botox is a very safe procedure when performed by a medical professional like Dr. Punit, and side effects are generally mild and temporary . However, it’s important to be informed and vigilant about your post-treatment experience. Here are some safety tips and red flags to be aware of:

  • Normal Side Effects: After Botox, you might experience slight swelling, redness, or bruising at injection sites . A mild headache or a feeling of tightness is also possible for a short time . These effects should resolve on their own in hours or days. You can use over-the-counter acetaminophen for a headache, and arnica gel or vitamin K cream on bruises if you have any (starting the next day). If you had injections for sweating, the injection areas (underarm or palm) could be a bit sore or itchy – again, mild and transient. These expected reactions are not cause for alarm.

  • What to Watch Out For: Contact Opal Radiant (Dr. Punit) promptly if you notice any of the following:

    • Infection signs: Increasing redness, warmth, swelling, or pain at an injection site after the first day, especially if accompanied by pus or fever. This is very uncommon, but if an injection point looks like it’s getting worse instead of better, let us know. We maintain high sterility, so infections are rare, but we’re here to evaluate and treat if needed .

    • Allergic Reaction: Difficulty breathing, widespread hives, severe swelling of the face or throat – these are extremely rare after Botox (true allergic reactions to botulinum toxin are exceedingly uncommon). However, if you experience any immediate allergic-type symptoms, seek emergency medical care and inform us. Signs like rash or itching that are not serious can be reported and we’ll advise appropriate care (often they’re unrelated, but we take it seriously).

    • Eyelid or Brow Drooping: If one of your eyelids or eyebrows becomes noticeably droopy, obscuring your vision or looking uneven (beyond a mild expected asymmetry), give us a call. Minor eyelid ptosis can occur in roughly 1–2% of cases even with proper technique . We can prescribe eyedrops (apraclonicline/Iopidine) that help stimulate the eyelid muscle to compensate while the effect wears off . The good news is it’s temporary and will resolve as the Botox effect fades, but we want to support you through it. Keep following your aftercare (don’t try to “fix” a droopy lid by rubbing or exercising – that won’t help). Let Dr. Punit assess it; often it’s subtle and only noticeable to you. We document any such events to adjust future injection placement.

    • Muscle Weakness Beyond Target: If you experience any new weakness in muscles away from the injection area, inform us. For example, if after neck Botox you have trouble swallowing, or after underarm Botox you feel arm weakness, or after jaw Botox you notice a droop at the corner of your mouth – these could indicate Botox migrated or affected a neighboring muscle. They are temporary and will improve, but we should be aware. Most of these cases do not require treatment other than time, but occasionally interventions or medications help. Difficulty swallowing or speaking (especially after neck injections) should be reported right away; although rare, significant difficulty could warrant medical attention. In the extremely unlikely event you have any trouble breathing or severe dizziness, seek emergency care immediately.

    • Unusual Symptoms: Trust your intuition – if something feels very off, reach out. Examples: severe pain not easing, vision changes (like double vision), or a headache that is very intense and not relieved by medication. While these are not typical, we want to know and guide you. It’s often unrelated to Botox or minor, but we err on the side of caution. Dr. Punit is available to address your concerns and can decide if you should come in for a check-up. Remember, we scheduled that two-week follow-up for a reason – to catch any issues and ensure you’re happy. Don’t hesitate to call before then if needed.

  • Stay in Touch: All Botox treatments at Opal Radiant include ongoing support. You will be given a contact number for the clinic (and after-hours instructions if urgent). If you’re ever unsure about a reaction, it’s better to call us. In most cases, we can reassure you over the phone. For instance, a slight headache or some bumps at the injection site are usually nothing to worry about . But if at 2 weeks you feel a result is uneven or not strong enough, we’d want to see you – adjustments can often be made (we prefer to start conservatively and add more if needed, rather than overdo it initially ). Your safety and satisfaction are our mission.

  • Personalized Care under Dr. Punit: Because all our Botox procedures are dermatologist-performed or supervised (no salon or at-home injections here – those can be dangerous! ), adverse effects are highly minimized.
